It includes new recordings of two songs that did not make the original album, "Alright Caroline" and "Scattered," demo versions of several tracks including "Semi-Charmed Life," and a cover of the Velvet Underground classic "Heroin." "I thought there was no way it was going to get played, but it's catchy," he says. Jenkins says he had no inclination that "Semi-Charmed Life" would be played on the radio, let alone become a hit, due to its lyrical references to sex and drugs. Though not an easy one for the topics the band adheres to are far from innocent. It is an enjoyable listening for everybody who values a good guitar rock and catchy hooks. Other highlights include the hard rocking "Graduate" and the urgent strains of "London." Third Eye Blind has picked out the best songs from each of the three albums and this resulted into a 19-track collection about 79 minutes long.
